Job Summary
Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and develop Ruby scripts and applications to meet business needs. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using Ruby and Ruby on Rails, while developing front-end components with Vue.js or other JavaScript frameworks. Deploy and manage applications on the Heroku platform, create and maintain SASS/CSS stylesheets, and apply common software engineering design patterns to ensure high-quality and scalable code. Follow Git management best practices for version control and participate in code reviews to provide constructive feedback. Contribute to the improvement of development processes and methodologies while staying up to date with industry trends. This remote position requires 1+ years of total job experience in Ruby scripting and development.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of total job experience in Ruby scripting and development
- Strong proficiency in Ruby and Ruby on Rails
- Experience with front-end JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js or similar
- Familiarity with Heroku deployment and managing applications in a cloud environment
- Knowledge of Git management best practices and experience with collaborative version control
- Proficiency in SASS/CSS for styling web applications
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Understanding and application of common software engineering design patterns
Desired Qualifications
- Preferably with experience in Feathery
- Optional: Experience with DevOps practices, including shared codebases, Circle CI, and automated testing
