Job Summary
Analyze development requirements, estimate task timelines, and document deliverables. Develop business and user interface software components while performing unit tests for all code. Create database schemas supporting business processes and write reusable Ruby libraries using MVC, ORM, and RESTful principles. Participate in deployment meetings and report daily progress to the team lead. This 100% remote role requires strong communication skills and English proficiency. Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Ruby on Rails developer
- Good understanding of the syntax of Ruby
- Skills for writing reusable Ruby libraries that may be used in expressive ways
- Familiarity with concepts of MVC, Mocking, ORM, and RESTful
- Experience with popular web application frameworks (Rails, Sinatra)
- Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes
- Familiarity with continuous integration
- Intermediate to advanced English level
- Strong communication skills
