Job Summary
Prepare pipes and hoses for rubber lining application by rolling or painting interior surfaces after sandblasting. Apply rubber to interior surfaces following instructions, drawings, and sketches. Use a layout table to lay out rubber components according to specified blueprints to ensure accurate tolerances. Load, unload, and handle materials within the facility using both mechanical and manual methods. Demonstrate full commitment to zero harm safety behaviors throughout all operations. This role requires basic knowledge of hand tools and thorough blueprint reading skills. The position is an onsite day shift (6a-2:30p) at Weir in Surrey, BC, with a starting rate of $33.51/hr.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a hands on, manual labor type role
- Basic knowledge of hand and measuring tools
- Thorough knowledge of reading and understanding blueprints
- Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for day shift M-F 6a-2:30p
- Must be able to load, unload, and handle material within the facility (mechanical & manually)
