Job Summary

Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula to meet ambitious academic expectations, delivering core content objectives and texts while mastering grade-level assessments. Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback and adjust instruction based on formal and informal assessments that track individual student progress. Communicate student and family updates weekly, manage classroom behavior using a consistent system, and host tutoring sessions as assigned. Participate in weekly manager check-ins, grade-level meetings, and before or after-school duties, maintaining a minimum of 40 hours per week. Engage in continuous learning through district and school-wide professional development opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
  • Minimum of 40+ hours spent at school per week

Desired Qualifications

  • High level of content-area proficiency as evidenced by teaching certification, field of study, or work-experience
  • Experience in a K-12 classroom setting
  • State certification
  • Aligned or relevant coursework that indicates experience or exposure to subject-matter content
  • Knowledge of core academic subject assigned and ability to pass a grade level aligned IDEA content assessment
  • Basic knowledge of curricula and instructional practices or implementation
  • Ability to instruct students and manage student behavior
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adjust and adapt to a multitude of situations in the school environment
