Job Summary
RTO Manager at Thales Ordnance Training Centre (TOTC) overseeing day-to-day operations, aligning strategic direction with senior leadership, and driving growth for the RTO. Responsibilities include leading and mentoring teams, overseeing RTO compliance (AQTF and RTO Standards), creating growth-focused plans, supervising administration (finances, records, reporting), enabling timely student enrolment, developing training strategies and materials through QA and innovation, identifying growth opportunities, building relationships to expand TOTC training programs, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally. Requires proven leadership in an RTO or educational setting, a tertiary qualification (Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or higher), strong program and project management skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office and LMS tools, and freedom to travel. Defence security clearance is required; applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain clearance. This role may involve expanding services nationally and internationally and shaping TOTC into a commercially thriving business entity.
Required Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in an RTO or related educational setting
- Tertiary qualification such as Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or higher is required
- Track record in effectively managing multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong commitment to continuous improvement and innovative training processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Learning and Student Management Systems (LMS), and educational design software
- Demonstrated organizational, project management, and administrative skills with task prioritization and deadlines
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
- Ability to develop training strategies and materials through quality assurance and innovation
