Job Summary
Provide direct academic support to identified students through RtI interventions (Reading and math) in small groups or individual settings. Co-plan or co-teach lessons with grade-level teachers, delivering targeted interventions for at-risk students and differentiating instruction. Plan and implement instructional strategies, tools, and technology to meet diverse learning needs, monitor student progress through formal and informal assessments, and communicate progress to school personnel and parents. Provide professional development to teachers and coaching to support Tier II and III instruction. Maintain a conducive learning environment, manage student behavior per district policy, and participate in staff development and committees as required. Follow district safety procedures and comply with state, district, and school regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned
- 3 years teaching experience with demonstrated student success
- Knowledge of curriculum and instruction assigned grades or subject
- Knowledge of intervention instructional strategies and best practices
- Ability to instruct students and manage behavior
- Ability to interact positively with students, parents, and educators
- Ability to analyze data to provide intervention support to at-risk students
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
