Job Summary
RTE/Raw Machine Operator roles on the 3rd shift at a Tyson Foods Kansas City meat processing facility. Responsible for operating machinery to ensure continuous production, monitoring and adjusting machine settings, and notifying supervisors of maintenance needs. Roles include Raw Machine Operator (handling raw meat lines, lubrication, sanitation, and line-side problem-solving) and RTE Machine Operator (overseeing robotic pocket fill, film supply, peeler/cook/chill systems, and throughput/yield/food safety). Requires ability to handle heavy lift, stand long hours, work in cold environments, and operate equipment like film lifters and scales. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 months of machine or packer operator experience
- minimum of 6 months of continuous work in the last 3 years
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job
- Must be willing and able to lift, push, or carry up to 50 lbs
- Must be willing and able to work in a cold/damp environment (28-42 degrees)
- Must be willing and able to stand 8-12 hours per day
- Must be willing and able to operate forklifts and interpret system alerts
- Experience with operating and maintaining automated production lines
- Ability to identify and resolve jams and equipment malfunctions
- Knowledge of MES systems and ability to open/close work orders
