Job Summary
RTCASS Technician I role responsible for inspecting, testing, maintaining, repairing, and analyzing airborne weapon replaceable assemblies, shop replaceable assemblies, TMDE TPS, and IETM-focused components. Duties include diagnosing malfunctions in electrical/electronic systems, repairing equipment by adjusting/replacing components, servicing aircraft batteries and power systems, repairing amplifiers, RF/microwave circuits, and ensuring proper calibration and maintenance of avionics equipment. Requires use of TMDE, TPS, IETM, data entry into automated maintenance systems, and leadership to guide teams through complex tasks while maintaining aircraft logs and records. Prerequisites include U.S. citizenship, color perception, valid driver’s license, and eligibility for secret security clearance; completion of specified NATTC and CNATTU courses. The work environment includes hangar/flightline settings with physical demands and PPE usage.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must have normal color perception
- Must have a valid state driver’s license
- Security requirement: secret security clearance eligibility
- Complete the Avionics Technician I Level Class A1 Course (N23A952) at NATTC, Pensacola, FL.
- Complete the USMC CASS High Power Configuration Operator/ Maintainer Technician Course (N25A725) at CNATTU NAS Oceana, VA; or (M17A728) at CNATTU Miramar, CA.

- US citizen only
- Must be able to meet physical demands (lifting up to fifty pounds)
