Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist – Ventilator Support Field Clinician delivers specialized respiratory care to ventilator-dependent patients in home and alternate care settings, including hands-on patient care, education, and collaboration with physicians and care teams to support safe, coordinated outcomes outside the hospital. Responsibilities include managing ventilator units and equipment, clinical assessments and care plans, discharge planning, patient and caregiver education, documenting activities and outcomes, maintaining compliance with HIPAA and infection-control requirements, and participating in on-call coverage. Requires an Associate's degree in respiratory therapy, valid RT license in servicing states, CPR, and driving license; traveling to service assigned locations; full-time schedule with standard hours and on-call as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program
- One (1) year of clinical experience as a Nurse with ventilator exposure, Healthcare Respiratory Therapist or HME Respiratory Therapist
- Valid and unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license in all states serviced by the branch
- CPR certification
- Valid and unrestricted driver’s license
