Job Summary
Assist Level II NDE technicians with setting up and tearing down equipment, performing routine maintenance, calibrations, and facility upkeep. Support proper documentation of services and maintain constant surveillance of industrial radiographic equipment during use under direct supervision. Secure equipment from unauthorized removal and prevent unauthorized personnel access to restricted areas. Provide incident notifications to safety management and adhere to company policies and NRC trust criteria. Requires a high school diploma, valid driver's license, ability to travel overnight, and a completed 40-hour Radiation Safety Course for trainees.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks and respond to short notice work assignments which requires occasional out of town and overnight travel
- Must be able to communicate with clients, supervisors, and co-workers
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record
- Proven ability to follow precise directions and procedures
- Proven ability to adapt to an ever-changing schedule
- Must possess a 40 hour Radiation Safety Course certificate of completion
- Capable of being certified as trustworthy and reliable per NRC criteria
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to read technical documents and engineering specifications is preferred
- State Industrial Radiographer's Card or IRRSP Card preferred
