Job Summary
Conduct daily vehicle inspections, maintain accurate logs of miles and fuel, and perform scheduled oil changes while keeping the vehicle clean and within speed limits. Provide peer mentorship to clients, facilitate group and one-on-one sessions, and advocate for clients living with substance use disorder within the multidisciplinary team. Assist the program during driving downtime, respond to emergencies, and complete all documentation timely. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with other times required as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Degree or GED
- Submit to and pass a criminal record check
- Submit to and pass a driving check
- Submit to and pass a drug screening test
- At least 25 years of age
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Minimum of two years in recovery
- Apply for the Temporary Registered Alcohol & Drug Peer Support Specialist credential immediately
- Work toward full licensure of Registered Alcohol & Drug Peer Support Specialist
- Oral and Written Communication Skills
- Interpersonal Skills
- Ability to exercise good judgment, tact, diplomacy and compassion when problem solving, handling conflict or in a crisis situation
- Ability to complete record keeping in a timely fashion
- Ability to get along with diverse personalities and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to work well with people of all races, backgrounds and needs
