Job Summary
Administer medication and implement respiratory care using the evaluate-and-treat process in critical care areas, managing protocol ventilators and performing airway management including intubation and extubation. Conduct patient assessments, perform arterial blood gas sampling, and deliver aerosolized medication, bronchial hygiene, and oxygen therapy. Educate patients and families, mentor new employees and students, and coordinate activities while promoting evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives. Work a night shift in the United States with a minimum of six months critical care experience required.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Respiratory Therapy or Bachelors Respiratory Therapy
- NBRC-RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist
- RCP - Respiratory Care Practitioner
- 0-2 yrs clinical experience with minimal 6-months critical care
- Ability to communicate well
- Critical thinking skills
- Establish and maintain working relationships with physicians and other health care professionals
- Computer skills including familiarity with customer relation, assessment, and communication skills
