Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist (Per Diem/Night) at Kennedy University Hospitals, Jefferson Health system in Turnersville, NJ. Administers physician-prescribed respiratory therapy including oxygen, respiratory medications, PFTs, ABGs, and mechanical ventilation; performs evaluation procedures to determine respiratory care needs; monitors patients on mechanical ventilation and assists with weaning and airway care; collects and analyzes sputum, blood, and breath samples for diagnosis; communicates with the healthcare team and ensures smooth operation of PFT/ABG labs. Requires graduation from an AMA-approved Respiratory Care program, NJ licensing, NBRC credential or registration within 2 years of hire, and BLS; Associate’s degree; ACLS/NALS preferred; salary is based on experience and qualifications, with 40-hour FTE details noted in the posting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of AMA approved School of Respiratory Care
- Licensed by the State Board of Medicine or State Board of Osteopathic Medicine
- Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or must obtain NBRC registration within 2 years of hire
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)
- Associate's/2-year degree required
- NBRC credential (Professional competency in Respiratory Care)
