Job Summary
Per diem/night Respiratory Therapist at Einstein Montgomery/Jefferson Health. Administers physician-prescribed respiratory therapy including oxygen, PFTs, ABGs, and all mechanical ventilation; evaluates patient needs and makes recommendations per department protocols; monitors patients on mechanical ventilation and conducts clinical assessments, rounds, and weaning; collects and analyzes sputum, blood, and breath specimens; communicates with the health-care team to ensure continuity of care and proper documentation; ensures smooth operation of the PFT/ABG laboratory and adherence to quality standards. Requires NBRC credential, state licensure, Basic Cardiac Life Support/BLS; Associate's degree (2-year) is required, with ACLS/NALS preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA approved School of Respiratory Care
- Licensed by the State Board of Medicine or State Board of Osteopathic Medicine
- Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) OR must obtain NBRC registration within 2 years of hire
- Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support/BLS
- Associate's/2-year degree required
- NBRC credential
- ACLS and/or NALS preferred
