Job Summary
Administer medication and implement respiratory care using the evaluate-and-treat process in critical care areas. Manage protocol ventilators, perform airway management including intubation and extubation, and conduct arterial blood gas sampling. Educate patients and families while mentoring students and peers. Collaborate with the healthcare team to plan care, verify orders, and perform invasive and non-invasive procedures. Complete patient assessments, documentation, and education. Promote patient safety, evidence-based practice, and performance improvement initiatives. Night shift required.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Respiratory Therapy or Bachelors Respiratory Therapy
- NBRC-RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist
- RCP - Respiratory Care Professional
- 0-2 yrs clinical experience with minimal 6-months critical care
- Ability to communicate well
- Critical thinking skills
- Establish and maintain working relationships with physicians and other health care professionals
- Computer skills including familiarity with customer relation, assessment, and communication skills
