Job Summary
Respiratory Care Practitioner II administers prescribed respiratory therapies, records treatment data, manages life-support equipment, and serves as a resource for staff. Responsibilities include performing invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring, providing age-appropriate care, maintaining respiratory equipment and records, and participating in rapid response for cardiac/respiratory events. The role emphasizes applying cardiopulmonary physiology knowledge, developing care plans and clinical pathways, and mentoring peers. The position supports family-centered care, interdisciplinary collaboration, data collection/auditing, and education of new staff and students. The role works full-time nights in Edmond, OK, within OU Health's multidisciplinary environment, with a comprehensive benefits package and equal opportunity employment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree from a Respiratory Care Program accredited by the Committee on Respiratory Care (CoARC)
- 3 years of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
- RCP license issued by the Oklahoma State Medical Board
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- BLS
- ALS within 3 months of hire
- PALS within 90 days
