Job Summary
Conduct patient assessments, administer prescribed therapies, and provide education on pulmonary diseases and sleep disorders. Perform six-minute walk tests, body box testing, Niox testing, and overnight oximetry while managing oxygen orders, in-basket tasks, and patient calls. Calibrate and maintain equipment, document accurately in the electronic medical record, and serve as a clinical resource for staff. Requires an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences, RRT certification, and BCLS.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences
- Previous Working Experience in Respiratory care
- Successful completion of department specific orientation
- Skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level
- RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care
- Licensed by the State of Georgia under the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
