Job Summary
Perform patient assessments, general respiratory care procedures, and critical care protocols in adult ICU, medical-surgical, and progressive care units. Conduct blood gas analysis, manage GE Carescape, Servo, Drager, and Phillips ventilation equipment, and assist with bronchoscopy. Provide patient education, monitor compliance with pulmonary disease and sleep disorder therapies, and perform inpatient EKGs and pulmonary function tests. Support NICU deliveries and care for respiratory patients, with opportunities to cross-train on EEGs. Cover South Campus shifts including ED and behavioral health units, utilizing Respiratory Driven Protocols to manage ICU and acute care areas.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences
- Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Licensed by the State of Georgia under the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners
- Current certifications in BCLS, ACLS
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year of experience in performing professional respiratory duties
