Job Summary
Perform patient assessments, testing, and education while monitoring compliance with pulmonary disease and sleep disorder therapies. Execute critical care procedures in adult ICU, medical/surgical, and progressive care units, including intubation and A-line insertion after competency. Manage GE Carescape, Servo, Drager, and HFOV vents; assist with bronchoscopy and perform blood gas analysis. Provide care for NICU patients during deliveries and attend to outpatient/inpatient pulmonary function tests. Conduct inpatient EKGs on general care floors and maintain all respiratory equipment. Cover South Campus shifts with one RT per rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences
- Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Licensed by the State of Georgia under the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners
- Current certifications in BCLS, ACLS
- Actively practicing and maintaining all required competencies
