Job Summary
Perform patient assessments, testing, and education while monitoring compliance with pulmonary disease and sleep disorder therapies. Manage critical care procedures in adult ICU, medical/surgical, and progressive care units, including intubation and A-line insertion after competency. Operate various ventilators such as Servo I, Drager VN500, and HFOV NICU vents, and assist with bronchoscopy using Glidescope disposables. Conduct blood gas analysis, perform inpatient EKGs, and manage GE Carescape R860 and Phillips V60 equipment. Provide respiratory care for NICU deliveries and babies at the Women's Center, and perform outpatient and inpatient pulmonary function tests. Shadow the department and facility to understand workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences
- Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Licensed by the State of Georgia under the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners
- Current certifications in BCLS, ACLS
- Actively practicing and maintaining all required competencies
