Job Summary
Perform patient assessments, general respiratory care procedures, and critical care protocols in adult care areas. Conduct blood gas analysis, manage all equipment maintenance, and provide patient education. Maintain current certifications in BCLS and ACLS while adhering to department-specific orientation and skills validation requirements. This Registered Respiratory Therapist position at Piedmont Augusta Hospital includes a sign-on bonus and operates on a night shift schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences
- Previous Working Experience in Respiratory care
- Successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care
- Licensed by the State of Georgia under the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners
- Current certifications in BCLS
- Current certifications in ACLS
- Actively practicing and maintaining all required competencies for BCLS and ACLS certifications
