Job Summary
Perform patient assessments, testing, and education for pulmonary diseases and sleep disorders while monitoring therapy compliance. Manage ventilators including GE Carescape R860, Servo I, Drager VN500, HFOV, and various CPAP systems. Conduct blood gas analysis, perform inpatient EKGs, and assist with bronchoscopy. Provide critical care procedures in adult ICU, medical/surgical ICU, PCU, and acute floors, including delivery support in the NICU and pulmonary function testing. Maintain equipment and adhere to Respiratory Driven Protocols. Shadow the department prior to hire.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences
- Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Licensed by the State of Georgia under the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners
- Current certifications in BCLS, ACLS
- Active practice and maintenance of all required competencies
