Job Summary
Perform patient assessments, testing, and education for pulmonary diseases and sleep disorders while monitoring therapy compliance. Manage GE Carescape R860, Servo I, Drager VN500, and other ventilators across adult ICU, medical/surgical ICU, progressive care, and acute floors. Assist with bronchoscopy, perform blood gas analysis, and conduct inpatient EKGs. Support NICU deliveries and care for babies receiving respiratory support. Perform outpatient and inpatient pulmonary function tests. Rotate through adult cardiac, women's, surgical, joint/spine, neuro, and behavioral health units. Shadow the department and facility during orientation.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences
- Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Licensed by the State of Georgia under the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners
- Current certifications in BCLS, ACLS
- Must be actively practicing and maintaining all required competencies
