Job Summary
Perform patient assessments, conduct respiratory care procedures for adults and neonates, and manage blood gas analysis and equipment maintenance across ICU, PCU, and NICU units. Provide respiratory support during deliveries and perform outpatient and inpatient pulmonary function tests while assisting with bronchoscopies. Maintain competency in managing various ventilators and offer cross-training opportunities in EEGs and leadership development. This role covers South Campus shifts with approximately 50 team members and includes shadowing options for new hires.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences
- Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners
- Current certifications in BCLS, ACLS, and NRP
- Must be actively practicing and maintaining all required competencies in both adult and neonatal areas
Desired Qualifications
- Neonatal Pediatric Specialist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care
