Job Summary

Perform patient assessments, respiratory care procedures for adults and newborns, and conduct blood gas analysis and interpretation. Manage ventilation equipment including Servo I, Drager VN500, and HFOV vents, while assisting with bronchoscopies and performing EKGs. Provide maintenance for respiratory devices and deliver education to patients and families across adult, neonatal, and acute care units. Attend deliveries in the Level 3 NICU and support outpatient pulmonary function testing. Shadow the department to validate competencies for intubation and advanced airway insertion.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences
  • Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care
  • Successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level
  • Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care
  • Licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners
  • Current certifications in BCLS
  • Current certifications in ACLS
  • Current certifications in NRP
  • Actively practicing and maintaining all required competencies in both adult and neonatal areas

Desired Qualifications

  • Neonatal Pediatric Specialist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care
