Job Summary
Perform patient assessments, general and critical care respiratory procedures, and respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery. Conduct blood gas analysis, maintain equipment including Servo I and HFOV vents, and provide patient and family education across adult, neonatal, and acute care units. Assist with bronchoscopy and perform inpatient EKGs, while managing GE Carescape and Drager ventilation systems. This role covers South Campus shifts including the Women's Center level 3 NICU, adult cardiac ICU, and various acute care floors. Candidates shadow the department and may cross-train on EEGs and PFTs.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences
- Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care
- Licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners
- Current certifications in BCLS, ACLS, and NRP
- Actively practicing and maintaining all required competencies in both adult and neonatal areas
Desired Qualifications
- Neonatal Pediatric Specialist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care
