Job Summary
Perform patient assessments, general and critical care respiratory procedures, and respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery. Conduct blood gas analysis and interpretation, manage GE Carescape R860, Servo I, and Drager VN500 vents, and assist with bronchoscopy using Glidescope. Maintain equipment, provide patient and family education in adult and neonatal areas, and monitor compliance with pulmonary disease and sleep disorder therapies. Work nights at Piedmont Eastside in Snellville, GA, covering adult cardiac ICU, medical/surgical ICU, progressive care, and acute care floors. Rotate through the level 3 NICU for deliveries and newborn admissions, perform pulmonary function tests, and conduct inpatient EKGs on general care floors. Full-time role with sign-on bonus available for candidates meeting minimum education, experience, and licensure requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences
- Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care
- Successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care
- Licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners
- Current certifications in BCLS
- Current certifications in ACLS
- Current certifications in NRP
- Actively practicing and maintaining all required competencies in both adult and neonatal areas
