Job Summary
Assess, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary and respiratory disorders by administering therapies, medications, and oxygen therapy according to physician orders. Manage airway support interventions, collaborate with physicians and nursing teams to optimize outcomes, and educate patients on treatment plans and equipment usage. Maintain accurate clinical documentation, support emergency critical care interventions, and recommend adjustments based on patient response. This PRN day shift role at Mercy Hospital Washington in Washington, Missouri, requires a current Missouri license and CRT or RRT credential.
Required Qualifications
- Current Missouri Respiratory Care Practitioner License
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Current BLS/CPR Certification
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program
Desired Qualifications
- Previous acute care, hospital, ICU, emergency department, or critical care experience
- Strong communication and patient education skills
