Job Summary
Develop comprehensive test strategies, plans, and scripts for GUI and non-GUI systems while executing functional, integration, and performance tests. Lead testing efforts for large systems, manage defects in Azure DevOps, and support User Acceptance Testing to secure stakeholder sign-offs. Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and project managers across Agile teams to validate user stories and ensure compliance with AODA regulations. Automate test cases using low-code/no-code solutions like Power Platform and Power BI, and conduct accessibility testing with specialized tools. Report progress against schedules and provide detailed quality summaries to maintain top-notch product standards.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in planning, organizing and implementing testing efforts at the specified experience level
- Knowledge of structured methodologies for the development, design, implementation and maintenance of applications
- Knowledge and experience in the use of automated test tools and version control systems on one or more platforms
- Experience executing functional tests, non-functional tests and systems-level integration tests
- Experience supporting user acceptance testing and participating in UAT activities
- Experience with quality assurance principles, practices, tools and structured methodologies
- Experience creating testing strategy documentation, test plans, test cases and test data for various types and phases of testing, including technical and business functional validation
- Experience in quality assurance and testing, including unit testing, integration testing, load testing, performance testing, etc.
- Knowledge and experience in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle

- Experience coding automated test scripts to produce sets of automated test cases
- Experience testing Commercial Off-the-Shelf Applications (COTS)
- Experience with Azure Devops tools, to be able to enter defects and access user stories
- Experience testing Power BI applications
- Good experience as a QA team lead, coaching and working with junior team members to support transition by automating test cases
- Experience with testing low code/no code solutions such as: Power Platform, Power BI and Dynamics 365
- Experience leveraging Azure DevOps for test case management, bug tracking
- Experience with Systems Development Life Cycle Methodologies
- Familiarity with ITIL Processes for Change/Release Management
- Relational database technologies
- Use of information retrieval packages using SQL and other query languages
- Knowledge and understanding of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and relevant guidelines
- Experience with AODA testing tools such as NVDA and Accessibility Insights for web, WAVE (Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool)
- Knowledge of project management and knowledge of task estimation, scheduling and control
- Able to Interact well with BA, stakeholders, project manager, development team, and clients as per need
- Experience in working with Agile teams and project
