Job Summary
Design and implement front-end code, including user interfaces and interactions, by translating technical specifications into tested applications. Develop detailed programming specifications, write code, compile data-driven programs, and conduct unit tests. Troubleshoot technical problems during software operation and assist in implementation, conversion, and migrations. Collaborate with IT professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle using Agile methodologies and structured design patterns. Create responsive web interfaces, build RESTful APIs, and optimize page loads while ensuring cross-browser compatibility.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Experience with React framework and typescript
- Experience with Node.js and Next.js
- Some experience working in Azure infrastructure environment
- Experience with testing custom developments
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure
- Experience with Agile methodologies including using kanban/task boards
- Extensive experience with JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and front-end languages, user interface design
- Experience with RESTful APIs
- Experience in programming and analysis; specialized software package support at the specified experience level
- Ability to collaborate with IT Professionals throughout the Software Development Life Cycle
- Experience in structured methodologies such as Agile Scrum for the development, design, implementation, and maintenance of applications
- Experience in design, code, test, debug and document applications
- Experience in application design, latest design patterns, deployment, and troubleshooting
- Experience with one or more communications protocols
- Experience eliciting and documenting information from diverse business area stakeholders and subject matter experts
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills

- Experience and expert knowledge in HTML, JavaScript, CSS and CSS Frameworks
- Experience with headless content management systems

- Experience conducting design walkthrough sessions with project team
- Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards
- Ability to provide user and system documentation as required
- Working knowledge of DevOps, task boards, pipelines, etc.
- Experience building and testing RESTful APIs
- Working knowledge of Jamstack Architecture
- Hands on experience with responsive design, front-end testing and debugging techniques, page load optimization and version control
