Job Summary
Develop and interpret program specifications for geospatial applications while maintaining production system performance and availability. Collaborate with IT professionals and cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle, troubleshooting technical problems associated with geospatial software packages during implementation and migrations. Conduct technical and business knowledge transfer to assigned LRC staff during and upon contract completion. Requires 5+ years of GIS development experience with the ESRI platform, proficiency in ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, Python, and SQL, and strong analytical skills for managing project deliverables. Hybrid work schedule includes three days in Toronto and two days remotely.
Required Qualifications
- Hybrid Work: Will work in the office 3 days per week (40 St. Clair West, Toronto) and 2 days remotely.
- Expertise in Systems Development and Object-Oriented Development methodologies
- Strong knowledge of procedures for managing geospatial information, particularly within the ESRI technology stack
- Advanced programming skills in various languages, including ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, Python, HTML5, and CSS
- Experience in developing applications using the ArcGIS platform
- Familiarity with Oracle customization and SQL
- Ability to analyze and document technical information and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Proven track record in meeting deadlines and managing project deliverables
- A minimum of 5 years in GIS software development
- hands-on experience in the ESRI platform and related geospatial technologies
- Strong skills in geospatial programming
- experience with ArcObject COM development environment and ESRI technology
- Expertise in application design, troubleshooting, and deployment using best practices

- Understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards
