Job Summary

Conduct in-depth analysis of business processes, workflows, and systems within transit agency operations. Gather, analyze, and document comprehensive business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications through elicitation techniques. Act as primary liaison between stakeholders and technical teams to define, prioritize, and manage the product backlog in an Agile environment. Translate high-level requirements into actionable user stories with clear acceptance criteria and facilitate user acceptance testing. Monitor post-launch performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. This 6-month contract (131 business days) offers a hybrid schedule at 277 Front Street W. with an incorporated rate of $72.51/hr to $87.02/hr. The role supports public sector transit efficiency and rider experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of combined experience in Business Analysis and/or Product Ownership roles
  • Demonstrated experience working within a Transit Agency
  • Proven experience on projects within the Public Sector, understanding the unique stakeholder landscape, procurement processes, and regulatory environments
  • Strong understanding and experience with Bus Operations, including but not limited to, dispatch, scheduling, fleet management, maintenance systems, and real-time information systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Transportation Planning, Public Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence)
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex issues into manageable components
  • Superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to facilitate productive meetings, drive consensus, and influence outcomes
  • Experience with requirements management tools and techniques
  • Proactive, self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
