Job Summary
Design and implement product modules or sub-systems while conducting unit and integration testing for assigned applications. Perform bug verification, release testing, and beta support, then research problems discovered by QA to develop solutions. Prepare technical documentation and assist with telephone client work for moderately complex applications. Research marketing requirements, target environments, and new development tools to stay informed of current technology. Operates under minimal supervision with a Bachelor's degree and four years of experience in software design or product support.
Required Qualifications
- 4 or more years of experience in software design or product support
- Experience with IBM OS/400
- Experience with CL
- Experience with RPG IV ILE
- Experience with EB2
- Experience with SQL
- Bachelor's degree
- Thorough technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design and implementation
- Excellent analytical and design skills at multiple product level
- Demonstrated skills in analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation
- Understanding of entire development process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance
- Aware of business issues as they impact overall project plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with Aldon Lifecycle Manager or other major SCC systems
- Experience with Websphere Studio Application Developer tools
