Job Summary
Coach individual participants in rowing skills and oversee safety conditions at the facility during all student presence. Maintain accurate records of team lists, injury reports, scores, and incident reports while attending every practice session and contest. Provide guidance on scholastic achievement, college entrance, and citizenship; determine athlete academic eligibility; and enforce discipline and sportsmanship. Directly supervise team members at home and away contests, assist in equipment distribution, and attend all relevant Athletic Department and MIAA meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of crew and its rules
- Ability to instruct players in all facets of the sport
- Evidence of ability to get along with pupils, parents, colleagues, and other citizens
- CPR Certification
Desired Qualifications
- Previous crew coaching experience
- Previous experience in either high school, college or both
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college
- Completion of the MIAA Coaches Education Class and/or other requirements by the MIAA
