Job Summary
Roving Property Manager responsible for property oversight across Western and Central Massachusetts, with frequent regional travel and occasional overnight stays. Manages all phases of property operations during acquisitions, transitions, and vacancies, ensures satisfactory financial performance, physical condition, and marketability of assigned properties, and oversees leasing, rent collection, reporting, and compliance. Coordinates with residents, communities, agencies, and internal teams; conducts weekly meetings with property teams and senior leadership; prepares operating budgets and long-term capital plans; supervises marketing, resident services, and maintenance programs; ensures adherence to policies, regulations, and affirmative action requirements. Requires travel to Beacon communities within defined regions, with hotel accommodations as needed; may require travel outside regular business hours. Reports to senior management and supervises direct reports as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent knowledge or experience
- Five years of related work experience
- CPM, COS, C3P, and LIHTC certifications preferred
- Familiarity with property management, budgeting, housing agency regulations and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Yardi
- Strong verbal and written communication, self-motivation, flexibility, detail oriented
- Leadership abilities and team development
- Emergency handling and high-pressure situations
- Commitment to resident confidentiality
