Job Summary
On-site contract-to-hire Maintenance Technician responsible for day-to-day maintenance in occupied single-family homes, including troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs. Tasks include installing and repairing major and minor appliances, performing grounds maintenance, preparing vacant units for occupancy, coordinating with the renovations team, completing lease-up inspections with the local housing authority, and providing emergency/unplanned repairs. Requires HVAC – EPA Universal Certification and 5+ years of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical experience; candidates with knowledge of Section 8 and rental licensing are preferred. Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license; must pass a drug test and background check. Bachelor’s degree in a related field is highly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- HVAC – EPA Universal Certification is required
- At a minimum, 5+ years of HVAC, medium plumbing and light electrical experience
- Experience with general handy work and drywall/leak repairs
- Reliable transportation and valid drivers license
- Pass a drug test and background check
- Bachelor's degree in trade school is highly preferred
Desired Qualifications
