Job Summary
Roving Maintenance Technician needed to support a portfolio of 8 properties (350 units) in Minneapolis. Responsibilities include reviewing and prioritizing work orders, completing assignments safely and within 24–48 hours, scheduling maintenance for buildings and common areas, performing preventative maintenance, preparing vacant units for occupancy, coordinating with vendors/contractors, and providing on-call coverage for after-hours emergencies. Must demonstrate general mechanical/maintenance knowledge, be able to work independently, manage time effectively, and communicate with residents; requires a valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check. This is a contract-to-hire role (90 days before conversion) with typical daytime hours and rotating on-call schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential/multi-family maintenance
- Able to work independently with strong time-management skills
- Friendly and hospitable to residents
- Valid Driver’s License and active vehicle insurance
- Ability to pass a background check
