ROV Pilot/Technician

Job Summary

Prepare, setup, and execute testing plans for ROV platforms, transitioning from R&D to real-world hardening. Provide experience-based feedback to R&D teams to strengthen platform development while supporting deployments in test tanks, lakes, and the open ocean. Assist tendering teams in bids and deliver solutions to customers, while maintaining and repairing vehicles to ensure reliability. Own ROV platforms with a high level of care, ensuring all activities meet strict Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment standards. Support operational team members with technologies you have helped develop.

Required Qualifications

  • UK Citizenship
  • UK Driving License
  • An evidenced background in ROV Pilot/Technician roles
  • Experience working with systems such as Rovtech Valor, Seaeye Cougar or Argus Rover Compact systems
  • Experience in nearshore and offshore environments
  • Experience integrating sensors spreads to ROV platforms
  • Experience maintaining and repairing ROV platforms
  • A trainee ROV Pilot/Technician level of competency/certification
  • An ability to communicate complex technical information to audiences who may not be technically minded
  • Willingness to travel globally
  • Ability to work in a flexible office/workshop combined with near and offshore operations

  • A strong desire to be at the forefront – willing to try new ideas even if the outcome isn't certain while keeping a keen eye on operational safety
