Job Summary
Conduct routine and non-routine maintenance, inspection, and electrical testing of street lighting and highway electrical assets across the Oldham and Rochdale Street Lighting PFI contract. Perform fault finding, repairs, and periodic testing of underground cable networks, including limited connections to DNO, IDNO, and PCN networks after training. Install, wire, and maintain street lighting equipment while driving and operating company vehicles to reach multiple sites. Carry out risk assessments, use handheld electronic devices to record information, and attend emergencies as required while adhering to company policies. Maintain safe standards throughout work delivery and contribute to team objectives within the E.ON Utility Solutions team.
Required Qualifications
- Level 2 and level 3 certificate in Highway Electrical work or equivalent qualification, such as C&G 236 part 1 and 2
- NVQ Level 3 in Highway Electrical Work
- 714 Initial and Periodic Electrical Inspection & Testing of installations
- 210 Working in the vicinity of DNO / iDNO equipment
- First Aid at work
- 104 Manual Handling
- G39
- BS7671 : 2018 Level 3 Award for Electrical Installations
- A current full UK driving licence up to and including 3.5t, ideally 7.5t or higher
- A current IPAF licence
