Job Summary
Operate CNC router and set up production jobs per customer blueprints; machine parts to specifications; design and manufacture fixturing; assist with setup, tooling, and troubleshooting; continually improve cycle times and tooling; provide input on machine run times, fixturing, and tooling; verify dimensions and tolerances; may develop programs using Mastercam; collaborate with NPI teams to develop manufacturing methods.
Required Qualifications
- Vocational training in metal fabrication or machining
- Some experience in the operation of CNC router equipment is a plus
- Proficiency with calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and height/depth gauges
- Thorough understanding of blue prints and geometric tolerances
- Functional understanding of engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
- Strong communications skills in verbal and written
- Computer skills and knowledge of Shop Floor Control/job tracking
- Self-starter and self-motivated
- Ability to identify complex problems and develop solutions
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
