Job Summary
Coordinate dock operations and manage driver and freight handler scheduling to ensure timely dispatching of LTL loads. Enforce safety compliance and quality freight handling procedures while leading a team in a fast-paced environment. Utilize strong organizational and logistical skills to solve operational problems, with a focus on knowledge of the local area and surrounding regions. Requires proven basic leadership experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office products. This role supports R+L Carriers' mission to provide superior transportation and distribution service through efficient administration and innovative thinking.
Required Qualifications
- Driver and Freight Handler Management
- Coordinate Dock Operation and Driver/Freight Handler scheduling
- Ensure Safety Compliance
- Ensure quality freight handling procedures are followed
- Timely dispatching of LTL Loads
- Other duties as assigned by the Service Center Manager
- Proven basic leadership experience
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment
- Strong Organizational / Communication/ and Logistical skills with solid problem-solving abilities
- Computer skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge of the City, and surrounding areas
- Monday - Friday
- Various Shifts
- Full-Time
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of quality freight handling preferred
- Prior LTL leadership experience is strongly preferred
