Job Summary
Direct and supervise daily route operations to ensure safe, compliant, and on-time service delivery while monitoring productivity and labor utilization. Lead, coach, and hold drivers and helpers accountable through ride-alongs, road evaluations, and performance discussions. Analyze operational challenges in real time to improve routing efficiency and reduce downtime. Ensure full compliance with DOT and CHP regulations by leading safety meetings and investigating incidents. Serve as the primary field contact for drivers, resolving customer service issues and articulating operational decisions clearly. Collaborate with dispatch, maintenance, and customer service teams to maintain operational continuity. Support onboarding and training of new drivers while conducting skill assessments. Requires 3+ years in transportation or fleet operations, prior supervisory experience, and a valid Class A or B CDL. Field-based role with significant outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Competitive salary of $72,000 – $76,000 annually with medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in transportation, fleet, logistics, or route-based operations
- Prior supervisory or management experience
- Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing performance
- Valid Class A or B CDL
