Job Summary
Route Service Manager delivers batteries and provides exceptional customer service to a predetermined route of customers and dealers within their territory. Builds and maintains dealer relationships, ensures battery quality programs are executed, manages inventory and paperwork (sales, consignment, warranties, rotates, cash collection, invoicing), loads/unloads trucks, maintains displays per consignment agreements, and may complete overnight routes. Requires CDL, a clean driving record, ability to operate computer tools (tablets/scanners), strong communication and math skills, and ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Works with minimal supervision in a battery-distribution setting with safety-focused procedures and independent inventory control.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate (or equivalent)
- Able to read, write, and compute basic math
- Excellent communication skills
- Minimum one year of delivery and customer service experience
- Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems
- Working knowledge of electronic inventory management tools (tablets, scanners)
- Demonstrates good organizational skills and can prioritize tasks
- Able to work overtime if requested
- Depending on location, ability to work one or more overnight routes per week may be required
- Must have a clean drivers record
- Must have and maintain a valid DOT medical card
