Job Summary
Route Sales & Service Technician Level I performs inspection, testing, service, and repairs of fire protection and life-safety products (fire extinguishers, exit/emergency lights, kitchen hood suppression) and learns pre-engineered suppression systems per standards and codes. Responsibilities include documenting inspections and repairs, communicating with customers, maintaining the vehicle/tools, evaluating additional equipment/services for customers, and complying with safety programs; occasional night/weekend/holiday work and up-to-date knowledge of life-safety requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 90 days of experience training on or working a route in fire protection with a concentration in extinguishers, e-lights, and general life safety products
- Must possess the ability to calculate basic math including fractions, decimals and percentages
- Must possess the knowledge and ability to understand and operate basic computer functions, operating systems and software applications such as Windows, Word, Apple IOS, Android and Outlook
- Must currently have a valid U.S. driver's license
