Job Summary
Route Sales Representative responsible for ordering, sales, delivery, and merchandising of a slate of baked products, developing relationships with customers’ managers and personnel; service accounts within designated route while meeting customer expectations, following best practices, and executing market programs. Duties include acting as a sales associate and delivery driver to drive retail/territory sales, leveraging internal sales data, maintaining strong customer relations, ordering via an online state-of-the-art planner to ensure fresh product, expanding shelf space and running in-store promotions, adhering to route structure and service times, following SOPs, ensuring proper product rotation, managing inventory and cash handling, supporting new product introductions, obtaining promotional display authorization, reviewing route analysis and KPIs, adhering to plan-o-gram requirements, and completing safety/compliance tasks (DOT certification, MVR checks, vehicle inspections, and logs). Must be able to obtain DOT medical certification and meet insurance/MVR requirements. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year related experience in retail sales, DSD sales, and/or business-to-business sales
