Job Summary
Cultivate relationships with grocery store managers and retail staff while delivering and selling products to established accounts. Transport goods from company vehicles to retail locations, stocking shelves and loading/unload bread baskets throughout the day. Preplan and fulfill specific orders using an iPad to track activities and communicate with customers, while identifying opportunities for additional business. Safely operate vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and implement strategies to minimize product expiration. Maintain a clean three-year driving record and pass a DOT physical examination. This role supports Aunt Millie's family-owned bakery in distributing fresh, locally sourced baked goods across the Traverse City area.
Required Qualifications
- Enjoy engaging with people and prefer an active role over desk work
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Possess a clean 3-year driving record
- Able to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination
- Meet the minimum age requirement of 21
- Successfully pass a drug screening
- Possess basic math skills
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic
- Take pride in delivering quality work
- Committed to providing exceptional customer service with enthusiasm and dedication
- Driving Record: candidates cannot have convictions in the past three years on their driving record for DUI/DWI or similar alcohol/drug related offense, careless/reckless driving, chemical test refusal, driving after suspension (unless not notified), fleeing/eluding a police officer, leaving the scene of an accident, passing a stopped school bus, speeding 15 miles+ above the speed limit, or three or more driving violations (not including seat belt violations)
