Job Summary
Route Driver delivers and picks up freight, inspects the vehicle, loads freight to optimize space and prevent damage, verifies contents of pickups on shipping papers, and maintains professional appearance. Requires the ability to operate a manual transmission (or willingness to learn), strong customer service, the ability to work independently, a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, and the ability to pass a DOT physical exam; must be at least 21 years old and able to lift up to 100 pounds. Overtime may be available (time and a half after 40 hours) with potential weekend OT; starting wage is $20.00-$24.00 per hour depending on experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid Driver's License with a good driving record
- Ability to pass a DOT physical exam
- Ability to lift and move freight weighing up to 100 pounds
