Job Summary
Route Driver responsible for safely loading, delivering and unloading cylinders and hard goods orders; perform DOT pre- and post-trip inspections; complete FDA/DOT documentation; track deliveries/pick-ups with handheld device; maintain truck cleanliness per DOT standards; communicate with supervisor on maintenance and delivery efficiencies; establish good customer relations through in-person contact; monitor customers’ needs to minimize emergency deliveries; operate forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment; ensure safety rules are observed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One year driving experience
- CDL A or B with Hazmat Endorsement
- Clean MVR driving record
- Able to lift 65 lbs
- Able to meet DOT physical qualifications
- Ability to read MSDS
- Regular standing/walking on concrete; ability to handle cylinders weighing 150-600 pounds
- Flexibility to work overtime
