Route Driver / Merchandiser

Job Summary
Check in delivered goods with a customer representative, complete bi-weekly inventory and orders, and pull credits or issue memos for out-of-date items. Perform merchandising resets, recommend cross-merchandising opportunities, and conduct one-on-one training on customer service, product knowledge, and slicing techniques. Deliver perishable goods while monitoring truck maintenance and executing Go-Spot-Check missions. Cultivate relationships with deli management to understand evolving needs and challenges. Requires a valid driver's license, clean record, and ability to lift 50 lbs; includes bi-weekly pay, full-time schedule, and on-site location in Alabaster, AL.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, including basic math and reasoning
- Ability to speak and read English
- 1+ years of experience as a Brand Associate or three years of experience in customer service, sales, warehouse, or similar role
- Successful mastery of Brand Associate essential functions and requirements
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to stand for a minimum of 4 hours
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- Ability to lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs
- Ability to push or pull objects up to 600 lbs
- Ability to work in a refrigerated/freezer environment
- ServSafe certification
- Deli Operations
- Slicer use, maintenance, and cleaning
- Deli scale operation and sanitation
- Proper slicing technique, product wrapping, and handling
- DOT compliance and Safe Driver training
- Flexible schedule with occasional weekend work
