Job Summary
Pick up dead hogs, cattle, and meat scraps from farm sites daily and return to the Chatfield MN Facility. Collect and inspect products for foreign material at customer locations while maintaining an Electronic DOT log. Operate the vehicle in accordance with company, federal, state, and local regulations, conducting pre and post trip inspections. Maintain excellent customer relations and complete all required paperwork daily. Work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday with a 6:00 am start time, logging 10-11 hours per day. Must handle outside elements year round and meet physical demands including lifting up to 75 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must be 21 years of age
- Valid Class B driver's license
- Must be able to handle outside elements year round
- Must maintain an Electronic DOT log
- Must operate vehicle in accordance with Company, federal, state and local regulations
- Must conduct pre and post trip vehicle inspections
- Must observe company policy, procedures and safety rules
- Must maintain excellent customer relations by providing quality, professional service at all times
- Must complete all company required paperwork in accordance with company policies on a daily basis
- Must attend all safety meetings
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms
Desired Qualifications
- Class A driver's license preferred
- Prior route experience within a customer oriented environment
- Ability to work well with internal staff and external customers
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers
